Better be ready for this. I’m answering a grand total of 4 Weekly Questions. My bad. I haven’t been doing my homework. So here goes…..
.
Question #1 :
What are you looking forward to in 2009?
.
I’m a pragmatic person. I’m neither optimistic or pessimistic in nature. Just very practical. For this coming year I just want to be able to continue whatever I was successful at in the past year. Suffice it to say that 2008 was a good year so I’d like my streak of luck to continue.
.
With regards to my family life, the one thing I am really looking forward to is my eldest daughter’s entry to the big school. Just like any mother hen fawning over her chick, I can’t seem to stop preparing for the big day. I just hope she makes the transition without a hitch.
.
Question #2:
If you were to reinvent yourself, what would you do?
.
Without sounding conceited, that’s the farthest thing on my mind. Why? I’m completely happy with who I am and what I’ve become. However, I would like to do some physical changes, if you know what I mean. Think of it as my way of getting an overhaul. As I’ve always said, I’d like to live a little healthier. Maybe get into a serious exercise program (as if running after 2 preschoolers isn’t enough) and maybe getting into a really serious dieting. I’ve been known to take discount supplements to augment my diet so why not turn it up a notch by going healthy all the way.
.
Then maybe I’d like to dress a little more like my age. A little more of the grown up clothes and a little less of the t-shirt slash shorts slash flipflops get-up. Besides, I’ve realized that summer constitutes only a few months of the year…not 24/7..365 days.
.
In essence, what I really mean is that I’d like to be more grown up. With much hesitation.
.
Question #3
With a long list of women’s health concerns, what is it that you dread to hear the doctor say to you?
.
I come from a family riddled with all sorts of health concerns. Cancer, coronary disease, diabetes, you name it..we have it. I’m so used to the whole gamut of diseases that I have completely accepted that at some point in time, I’m getting my fair share of the family curse.
.
The one thing, though, that I don’t want to hear is that I’m afflicted now. Like, NOW!! I know that these diseases are not age sensitive. They can get anyone at any age. If it were up to me, I’d like to be spared from all that. Worse case, not now…not yet.
.
And last but not the least….
.
Question #4
What would you do if you see this in a restaurant?
.
.
This is awful and so very uncouth. I’m of the opinion that whoever did this is completely devoid of good manners and right conduct. It’s a restaurant, for crying out loud. People eat here.
.
What would I do, I’d probably give the offender a major stare down until he or she would get the message. If the offender doesn’t get the message, I’d most likely just remind that person of where he was and what people do there.
.
Done!!

Going to a big school is one transition that children and parents look forward to with both excitement and anxiety. I know your daughter will be able to go through this phase effortless with your help.
Ako din, I think I have had enough of shorts/flipflops or rubber shoes and shirt getup. Matter of fact I was wearing a long sleeved blouse yesterday and my student said: “Why are you wearing that?”
Wagi!
Let’s try to be healthy this year and make it a habit for a long time.
If I was not tired, that mom would have heard something from me. I was thinking that I am not going to eat there anyway so I didn’t speak up but I felt guilty I didn’t because there would be other people who will sit at that certain spot after they leave. Hay naku…
Thanks Cookie for answering all 4 questions. Have a great week!
