I just got back from watching 2012, the movie. I’m a very big fan of noisy, action filled, catastrophy movies and when they started showing teasers of this film, I knew I had to see it. So when they opened here yesterday, I made a date with the hubby to go see it today. After 3 hours of watching the earth coming to its end, what did I think? Well, from a scientific point of view (remember, I happen to be in the mining business and studying tectonics and earthquakes goes with the job), this movie shook me up. My father and his geologists always told me of the possibility of this happening long before all this talk on “global warming”, “climate change”, and “saving the earth” even became vogue. I’m no scientist but after watching this, it all seemed so real and reminded me of everything I had heard as a youngster. I was spooked to say the least, so much so that I told my husband that I suddenly welcomed the dreaded menopause so long as this didn’t happen. (enough to make me check out bioidentical hormone replacement austin).
From a personal point of view, my husband said it best. If and when this happened, he said that we needn’t worry about it not sparing us. So long as we were together as a family then that was all that mattered.
