On the night of our 3rd day in Osaka, my husband and I decided to take a night stroll along the less traveled paths in the Namba district. We wanted to stay away from all the shopping and eating establishments that were getting crowded by the weekend revelers. Besides, we couldn’t find a decent and inexpensive joint to have our dinner there so we went in search for a cheap noodle house in the backstreets.
It was here that we passed by this lonely bridge across the street from our hotel. It wasn’t lighted up when we got there and by some wonderful coincidence, they lighted it up just as we were about to pass. The red posts, when lighted, looked like beautiful Japanese lanterns. Made for a very romantic stroll that evening.

Getting off the beaten path is nice in any new place. The bridge lighting up is almost a welcoming to you for exploring a new place. You are so honored!
