I’ve been hearing about all these travel promos (and nightmares) for several months now and I’ve always been interested to try booking some trips myself. However, I always manage to log on to those travel sites at about the same time that half my country is logged in so I’ve not had much luck in that category.
Today was different. I didn’t know that there was a promo going on and I just decided to check out a travel site (Cebupac, to be exact) and I was pleasantly surprised that there, in fact, was an ongoing promo. So without any hope of landing any flights I just decided to try booking. And guess what…I managed to book 2 flights for next year for me and the hubs!! I was so excited that I took screen shots of the confirmation pages and immediately stored them in a Custom usb drive in case the confirmation email did not arrive.
With 2 trips in the bag all I have to do is wait and let the excitement build up…and I better make sure to check out those travel sites every so often. I just might land myself something exciting again.

Got lucky twice over too; the first time when they launched the piso fare this year and yesterday when they brought it back. Got the tip from Twitter, 30 minutes after it was posted. Traffic was not heavy when I went to the site but after, wow.

@ Em Dy : we had the same experience. When I logged on again an hour or so later, it was hopeless. Lucky us. Will definitely check out your travel blog to keep abreast of the future travel deals…thanks for the tip.
