What are the 5 simple pleasures that will give you, well, simple pleasures?
.
First, getting a massage after a particularly tiring week. Lately I’ve been trying to be kinder to myself. The joys of relaxing, which I would be so guilty of indulging, are now part of my regular routine. What could be more pleasurable than having your “hilot” knead away all those “lamig” from you aching shoulders and back.
.
Second, eating a delicious meal that you didn’t cook. Don’t get me wrong, I love to cook but sometimes food tastes so much better when you didn’t have to slave over the stove for a couple of hours. I always manage to eat more when I’m at someone else’s dinner table.
.
Third, being first in line. I always get a kick out of this. My husband thinks I’m nuts becase whenever we have to do something that requires lining up (usually buying tickets) I’m always in a panic about being first.
.
Fourth, watching Pinoy Dream Academy or Pinoy Big Brother with the husband while trying to polish off an entire bag of chips. We both love this time of the day. And we have full-on commentaries about the shows, mind you.

Fifth and the one I love most, smelling my kids while they sleep at night. There’s something about their smell that puts me at ease. Makes me sleep better too.
.

i love being first in line, too
simple pleasures? reading a good book, hearing my kids laughing, finishing the 15 min news and understanding it all, eating mcdo (we dont get to do this as regularly as i want to), and speaking tagalog

Gusto ko din ng massage but having one in commercial spaces is a bit uncomfortable to me. Do you have someone doing that to you? Baka puwede pa-service din sa Carmel
Ay! I love smelling my sleeping children too. But not Trixie. Just open her bedroom door a bit and she will say in her sleepy grouchy voice, “Yung pintoooo…”
No more time to watch PDA or PBB usually hubby and I are watching a DVD or I am zzzz….

I love your top 5, esp. being the first in line. sinong Pinoy ang hindi gusto nyang pleasure na yan lalo na sa filing of docs sa govt agencies.
