We spent the weekend in Subic Bay and we were able to see a jungle survival demonstration. Our guide taught us the basics of making it in the wilds. With a piece of bamboo he made several items. He made cooking and eating utensils and even made fire with nothing but 2 pieces of bamboo and some sawdust.

That looks like an interesting event to go to. Amazing how a fire can be started like that.

Did he also you guys teach how to cook rice using the bamboo? Nice noh, we were there too last year. The guy also made some gugo scrub.

Hi Wenchie!! Yes, he did. He also showed us the gugo scrub and how to drink water from a water vine. I tasted nga the water..in fairness, it was kinda sweet and very cold. Ang galing!
