Finally, after 2 years in the making…we’re finally having a garage sale!!

We were supposed to do this last year but somehow things didn’t push through. With the house makeover project coming up this summer, we thought it best to get rid of some of the junk in the house so we can make way for new stuff.

We’ve been decluttering these last few weeks and we’ve managed to fill up several XXL trash bags with stuff. There’s shoes, bags, clothes, books, baby stuff, kitchen stuff, all sorts of stuff. I’m selling my old Xerox machines, all sorts of electronics, an old PC…everything. And just to make it more fun, my Mom and sisters are joining in the fray.

I have yet to go inside our bodega to see what’s in there. I’ve been too busy clearing out our cabinets but I’ll be doing it tomorrow.

I also have to figure out how to sort everything. I’m thinking of color coordinated sticker to designate items by price. I’m already getting tired just thinking about it. Then there’s bookeeping. I’ve already assigned one of my most trusted helpers to assist me in this. If I had my way, I’d want POS systems to help keep track of all the purchases. Yes folks, that’s how much stuff we’re getting rid off.
