Running Bug?!?
After procrastinating for almost 2 years, I think I’ve finally found the motivation to really get back on the fitness bandwagon.
I just signed up for a 4 session running clinic!! Even I couldn’t believe it. For someone who rarely laces up her sneakers, taking a running class is definitely one for the books. I don’t even like running…even when I’m required to run! Walking, yes..but running…nope.
But well, I’ve sealed the deal so there’s no backing out now. In fact, since I was all gungho about it, I also went ahead and inquired at my hubby’s gym. Next thing you know, I might be gulping down creatine supplements for that mean and ripped look.

Boot Camping?
eyI have finally….after more than a year….opened the box of that boot camp kit. It was actually a spur of the moment thing. I was watching TV and when I switched channels I accidentally switched it to the home shopping channel. And there…they were selling that boot camp kit for the amazing low price of 2k!!!
Without much thought, I called, ordered, and paid. Other than the kit, all I needed was a mat and I would be on my to tighter abs and a tighter booty. But wait, I didn’t have a mat. All I had was an area rug. No worries, that would suffice. But of course, I wanted the whole shebang. I got myself a pricey yoga mat and then I was all set.
Problem was…I lost steam. I kept my kit and my mat nicely stashed in our bodega for more than a year. But not anymore!! They’re now by the side of bed waiting to be used. I plan to start next week….but isn’t that what I said last week?!? Wish me luck
Walking The Walk
With Christmas just around the corner, I’m seriously mapping out my strategy for getting fit and fab for the holidays. The dieting part is the easy part since it was never really difficult for me to cut down on the yummy. In fact, when people started panic buying supplies right after the typhoons, I also joined in the stampede but made sure that I stocked up on “healthy” food items. No kidding. I’ve got enough fish and grains to last us another 2 months or so.
But the hard part is yet to come. I’ve been really slacking on my physical activities for the last couple of months. I barely have time exercise anymore. Well, I’m just making excuses. Its true that the kids’ school schedule is a bit tighter than before but it still is not a reason for not getting my fair share of exercise. I’m in dire need to find the best fat burner ASAP. I still have to break open the Boot Camp exercise set I bought from an online shopping network a few months ago. And there’s always my oft mentioned return to power walking around the park every morning.
I need to this and I need to do this fast…wish me luck.
