In 6 months time, the studio unit we purchased 2 years ago will finally be turned over to us. We’ve been anticipating this for quite some time and even as early as last year, we were already searching for furniture that would be appropriate for our tiny condo. When I say tiny, I actually mean it. Its a studio unit with around 22 sqm. of space. And that includes the bathroom so you can imagine how small it is.
Anyway, since we fully intend to have it rented out to students, it happens to be bound by universities on all sides, we were thinking that we should stay away from our beloved antique furnishings and instead opt for contemporary furniture.
Believe me, its way easier to decorate a big space. We’ve been having a hell of a time trying to find furniture that would not cramp the condo yet not render it cheapie cheapie. If all else fails, I will probably employ the services of a custom furniture maker.
My husband just had a brilliang albeit impossible idea. He wants to move. He asked me to find out if anyone wanted to buy our house so we could move. Yeah, like its that easy. And just in case I am able to find someone to buy the house, where do we live while we build a new house?
I have to admit, though, that moving to better and bigger house sounds good to me. Decorating a new house with brand new furniture, buying new kitchen stuff. I would love to have my own custom shot glasses and landscaping a new garden certainly holds a great appeal to me.
So lets all raise our glasses….to my new dream house. Ten years down the road, that is.
Ever since the “summer house project” was cooked up, my husband has been toying with the idea of completely redecorating the house. He says he’s tired with the way the house looks.
Some of the things he wants to get rid of are some of the big pieces of furniture in the living room and in the kitchen.
