Industrial Design In Pad Paper
I lost my cellphone case a couple of weeks ago and I haven’t had the chance to buy a new one. Luckily for me, my youngest has been doing all sorts of art stuff at school. She was so inspired by her lessons that my baby, who I thought would end up as Lawyer like her father was at the start of his law career, now shows some potential as an Industrial designer!!
She fashioned an ingenious looking cellphone case in…..TADAAAAHHH….pad paper!!!
I totally loved it!! I used it for a week until she herself decided that it was pangit…hehehe!!!
Halloween Panic
I’ve been having these panic attacks lately and all due to the upcoming Halloween celebrations.
Things aren’t as simple as they used to be. Nowadays my kids have a definite say about what they want to wear for Halloween.
In the past it was what we wanted them to wear. It could be something as simple as a pair of running shorts paired with a funky hat. Or it could be something as full blown like the Geisha outfit we had them wear last year.
Now its a different ball game. I was informed 2 weeks ago of their costume choices. Gaby wants to go ala-Lady-Gaga in her “Telephone” video. I made a quick scan of the video and immediately put my foot down on the skimpy outfits. Of course, this didn’t go down well. She wanted to wear the flag bikini in the initial dance scene!! After some bargaining, we settled on the purple outfit she wore in the final scene.
Adi, on the other hand, wants to go as the White Queen in “Alice In Wonderland”. This is easy. She already has a white gown and all I need to do is to add some accessories. My only problem is the hair. She really wants to go with white hair. So I still have to find a flowing white wig for that.
And so the countdown to Halloween begins……..
Are You a Bedtime Believer?
Sleep….
Sleep is one of the most important needs of the body….especially for children. Scientific studies have shown a direct correlation between sleep and growth. Therefore, more sleep…more growth.
As a mother, I have put prime importance on sleep so much so that I started training my kids to “sleep properly” as soon as they were born. Truth be told, I have never experienced any difficulties in putting my kids to sleep. They love to sleep and their size can attest to the fact that they are true products of good sleep.
If you are a firm believer in good sleeping habits like I am, take the Johnson & Johnson Bedtime Believer survey by clicking the badge below. The first 100 moms will receive special tokens from Johnson & Johnson.
Bisolvon’s Alagang Supermom Photo Contest
Who ever said that a child is only beautiful in his/her mother’s eyes does not know the first thing about what beautiful is all about.
Children, in all shapes and sizes, color or race, age or gender, is beautiful. Children are God’s gift to all parents and this, in itself, makes any child beautiful in anybody’s eyes.
Me, I think my kids are the most beautiful on earth. I guess that goes for all mother’s. The mere sight of my kids is enough to make my day. Never mind that they can sometimes test my limits. All they need to do is smile and look at me with their puppy dog eyes and I’m all jello inside.
At the recent Bisolvon Alagang Supermom event, the entire concept of beautiful kids was taken one step further.
They are holding a photo contest to showcase our kids. To launch this contest, the wonderful folks of Bisolvon hosted a Mommy and Kids party at Marta’s at Serendra. While the Mommies gathered to discuss the contest mechanics, the kids were busy decorating their very own Marta’s cupcakes and cookies.
The contest is open to all Filipino mothers and the winners stand to win some fantastic prizes.
Contest mechanics and information may be found at Bisolvon’s Alagang Supermom website.
A Year of Fun…And Many More to Come
Its been a year since that fateful day when my kids and I joined my beautiful Mommy blogger friends and their kids in what has been, by far, one of the most enjoyable blogger events yet. To this day I still hear my kids refer to that event and they always say it with a twinkle in their eyes and a longing to be able to do it again.
As a Mom who does not want to disappoint, I always say that we will go back.
And go back is exactly what we did….exactly a year after.
Yes, folks….Active Fun in S.M. North Edsa Annex has turned a year older. And to celebrate this milestone, we were once again invited by Active Fun to celebrate with them.
