Pictures in the Sky
I’m not a big sky watcher. Sure I get excited whenever an eclipse or some galactic event is plastered in the news but that goes for several million others. I don’t get upset when a meteor shower is obscured by clouds or by my neighbors coconut tree. Life will go on for me.
However, on days that I do look up,with or without my ray-ban sunglasses, I sometimes find myself smiling at what the sky manages to show me.
LP : May Pag-Asa Ba Ako?
Bakit nga ba napakahirap minsan isipin kung ang buhay ay talagang may pag-asa. Kung minsan naman kasi, kahit gaano ka na magsumikap, talaga namang may panahong minamalas ka.
Tulad na lamang ni Dong (names changed to protect subject), tuwang tuwa sya kay Dang (not her real name kasi Ate Arlyn ang name nya). Nung minsan kasing nagpunta kami sa park para makapaglaro ang mga bata, aba’y naisipan ni Dong at Dang na sila din ay maglalaro. Naku ha, intriga yan. Joke.
Actually, medyo TH silang maglaro kasi kinda matanda na sila para sa mga larong napili nilang gawin. Kaya ayan, nagtaka naman ako kung may pag-asa pa ba silang mag-enjoy ng maigi. Eh mukha naman di ba.
LP : Likas (Human Nature)
Kung sakaling may isang cute na ibon na biglang mahulog mula sa puno at ito ay nakita mo, ano ang gagawin mo?
a. magkukunwaring walang nakita
b. matutuwa at nahulog ang umiistorbo sa iyo tuwing umaga
c. pupulutin ito at hahanapin ang kanyang magulang
Kung ang sagot mo ay (a), naku naman, magpakatotoo ka kaya. Kunyari ka pang dedma…haller!
Kung ang sagot mo ay (b), ang sama mo ha.
At kung ang sagot mo ay (c), ayan, pinaiiral mo talaga ang likas mong pagiging maaruga. Magaling, magaling, magaling!
Pasensya na sa pagsulat ko ngayong linggo. Medyo may hangover pa ako sa paggawa ng mga reviewer para sa mga tsikiting ko kaya mukha na ring test paper itong lahok ko.
RT : Momma Bird
After rescuing a little bird from the preying eyes of one of our neighborhood pussycats, we gave him safe shelter in our garage. However, we didn’t have the proper housing facilities for this little fellow so we had to make do with my daughter’s red basket. She had been using it as the repository of her Barbie thingamajigs.
Since the bird was temporarily flightless, we kept him and tried to provide him with the proper nutrition to allow him to regain strength. Apparently, his Momma had the same idea. She was a frequent visitor and she would bring her baby some food which he gobbled up quite heartily.

My daily routine starts very early in the morning. I’m usually up before the sun rises but I don’t get out of bed until I can see just a sliver of sunlight.
I know everyone looks forward to watching the sun set but I love watching the sun rise as well. And since I get up before the sun does, I get that extra treat of watching the sun slowly get out of its resting place to grace the day.
